I’m currently on the road heading to Australia where the HeadOn Photography Festival is exhibiting a show of my iAfghanistan work. While there, I will also be holding a workshop on Mobile Phone Publishing. Later this month I will also be traveling to Oslo as a keynote speaker at the DOK13 festival.

Recently I presented my work during the Annenberg Photography Museum’s Iris Night lecture series and was a keynote speaker and workshop leader at the was a Magnum Foundation Photography Expanded seminar.

In the last few months I have covered stories for clients such as Stern, The New York Times Magazine, Fortune, and Fast Company.

Last year my wife, Marvi Lacar, and I produced and shot a TV commercial for Jobs Ohio, which recently aired.

In October, I was 1 of 5 photographers assigned by Time Magazine to cover the destruction wrought by Hurricane Sandy. What made our assignment unique was the use of Instagram to distribute the imagery. I was honored to have my image as the first photo shot with a mobile phone to grace the cover of Time magazine. As our industry moves forward with incorporating new technologies and social media, I am working towards embracing creative ways of storytelling and distribution.

Lastly I am most proud that Marvi and I made it to our 8th anniversary alive. Mostly.
